And he's back. After a short recess, Chance The Rapper finally got situated in his new "Home Studio" and dropped a funky one-off for us to enjoy as a christening of that new HQ and a testament to the work he's ready to do. While definitely still a bit rough, the track's got a big live feel with Chance's full band at the helm. It struts some of the more organic boogie funk influences Chance is clearly taking in these days over in the new Batcave, with big horns and a mean pocket.
No word if roommate James Blake had a hand in the production, but with a full line of musicians behind him, it doesn't seem Chance needs any extra help. Though he clearly doesn't need a recording setup to remain productive, with a newly fortified home studio, hopefully we can count on gems like this making it off the cutting room floor a bit more often.
