On Sunday, May 7th, Kimberly Bennett, Chance The Rapper's aunt, lost her battle with cancer. Kimberly died from a rare form of inflammatory breast cancer that less than five percent of breast cancer patients in the U.S. get.

Two days after Kimberly passed, Chance The Rapper shared the news on his Twitter account. With his tweets, he also added a video that his aunt did back in February.

In the video, Kimberly, who was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, tells the story of how she discovered she had breast cancer. In doing so, her message is clear; regularly check yourself for bumps. And if you find anything strange, don't sleep on it.

She ends her video with this powerful message:

"If they swell, by all means, go to a doctor. The goal of this cancer is to kill you and to kill you fast...The only thing you can do to help yourself is to respond and react as fast as you can. That's the only thing that will save your life."

We're sending our condolences to the entire Bennett family.
