This Calvin Klein Commercial Is The Closest Thing To A New Frank Ocean Interview

So here's the deal. Frank Ocean hasn't been seen or heard since he popped up at Madison Square Garden to help Kanye usher in The Life Of Pablo. Yes, there were leaks of seemingly new material a few months back, but since then, those "tracks" have been scraped from the internet, surprising absolutely no one. Then last night, in preparation for a new campaign, Calvin Klein began to tease excerpts via Snapchat, featuring the likes of Young Thug and...Frank fucking Ocean.

Today, the full ad-spot has been revealed, finding the long-dormant r&b innovator waxing inspirational about process and art. Floaty phrases that could very well have been lyrics or interludes in a new body of work, except that they were actually used in an ad-spot to sell white tees, underwear and jeans. The end product is a dream-like sequence and the closest thing to a new interview that we've gotten in ages, the likes of which leave us more confused than sorted out, 'cause you know, the whole Channel Orange follow-up thing. In any case, there is some movement on the album, or so it seems, as a cryptic update to his website seems to imply we may just get an album by the end of the month.

But who the fuck even knows anymore. Watch the Calvin Klein commercial below and hope with all of us that this is the signal we've been waiting for.
