If you’re up, awake and not nodding off from the syrup (or late night movies) then you’re probably keeping your neighbors up thanks to the heat just dropped from Steve Lacy, Thundercat, Stormzy and Calvin Harris.

Yes, yes, yes, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. New work from these talented musicians is now available after seeing previews on Snapchat, being teased by Matt Martians on our Insta-snap and hearing sneak peeks through illegal channels (ssh!).

Calvin Harris was the first to make some noise on our timeline as the Scottish DJ / producer brought in Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Frank Ocean and Atlanta’s own supergroup, Migos, for his new single, “Slide“. The record serves the people as Frank’s first musical release since dropping his dual albums, Endless and Blonde back in 2016.

Listen to “Slide” below:

Up next was Steve Lacy. The funkier-than-thou guitarist might have been on the stage putting the butters on for the crowd with his New York performance alongside The Internet, but in the back of everyone’s mind, they were waiting for his solo offering. Thankfully, Steve Lacy’s Demo EP came out without a hitch, making the 6-track, 13-minute effort, worth the wait.

Stormzy, a beautiful soul who doesn’t tone down his blackness for anyone, had audiophiles wailing after hearing his remix of Ed Sheeran‘s “Shape Of You,” but now have a full entree to dig into. Gang Signs & Prayer features guest appearances from Kehlani, MNEK, Ghetts, J Hus and more — it is everything fans of his want and more.

Last, but certainly not least, Thundercat has let go his newest project, Drunk, which we’ve been trying to hip y’all to for a minute now. The 23-song LP features the standout cuts “Show You the Way,” “Friend Zone” and “Walk On By”. With guest appearances from Michael McDonald, Kendrick Lamar, Kenny Loggins, Kamasi Washington, Wiz Khalifa and Brainfeeder cohort, Flying Lotus, Drunk is a funky, yacht-rock-inspired keg-stand totally worth drowning in.

Cop all these treats, bang them as long as you can and be sure to circle your calendar when they come to a city near you.
