Unleashing two new “trill compositions” with “summertime swag,” The Black Opera show that they still have a lot more to show for themselves than popular catchphrases. On “Opera Hands,” TallBlackGuy –currently pretty high on our baddest producers doin’ it list –intricately flips a James Brown sample, as the black ops roll back their social commentary a little, opting instead for a good ol’ fashioned street banger. The Audible Doctor-produced “Teleport” has a soulful, southern twang to it, as well as lyrics that live up to their usual dopeness standards (“feeling so fresh and so clean #johnthebaptist”) Mello Music Group has decided to bless the outstanding EnterMission LP with an official release, putting it out on CD and on vinyl on August 28. Meanwhile you can listen to the two non-LP tracks below and download them for the price of an email via Bandcamp.
