We knew Little Dragon was in the studio with Big Boi, conjuring up something for the ATLIen's forthcoming LP Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors, previously known only as "The New Daddy Fat Saxxx LP." But now we not only get to hear the track "Mama Told Me" but witness the two creative powerhouses connect onstage for a live debut of the track as part of Vitamin Water's Uncapped on-campus concert series. The marriage of new wavey synthpop and breezy soul is pretty much everything you might expect from a "Dungeons & Dragons" team-up (Dungeon Family x Little Dragon--get it?) as Big Boi terms it. Got kind of a ring to it. They could spin that concept off into a whole array of tie-ins; animated series, role-playing game, the works!
