BBC's 'Kraftwerk: Pop Art' Documentary Delves Into The Band's Expansive & Historic London Residency

Electronic production pioneers Kraftwerk have had nearly 50 years of mind-melting computer music under their belts. All of which came front-and-center in last year's takeover of London's Power Station where they hosted a live art interpretation of their entire catalogue over the course of an 8-show residency. The BBC compiled classic footage, interviews and clips from the residency itself for the express purpose of presenting the Kraftwerk:Pop Art documentary, wherein we get what is perhaps the most in-depth exposition of their work and legacy yet. It's an hour's worth of insight into all of the greatness that is the enigamtic German four-piece. If you need to, get familiar with their catalogue on iTunes or your preferred streaming platform. But if you're already up to snuff, dive into their industrial pop schemes in the Kraftwerk: Pop Art doc below. If you're fortunate enough to be one of the Okay folks across the pond, they'll be recreating the career-spanning residency in Copenhagen at the end of this month. So run, don't walk to your nearest exit and do whatever it is you have to grab a ticket to that must see string of sets.

[UPDATE: Unfortunately, the documentary has been taken down due to copyright infringement, but the good folks at the British Broadcasting Company are streaming the video for our friends across the pond. The rest of us will just have to get creative --wink, wink]
