Audio: Tiara Thomas “All Around The World” f/ Wale

The tables are turned on this new joint from Tiara Thomas featuring Wale (you may remember her from “The Cloud” by Wale featuring Tiara Thomas.) In that post I characterized her (maybe a touch dismissively) as a ‘stunning coffeshop chick strum[ming] her acoustic guitar’ but now I am eating toe, because it’s clear from this joint that even though she’s STILL strumming an acoustic guitar, she also has some battler-rapper chops. Hmmm a beautiful woman who sings and spits surprisingly fierce rhymes over a drumless bed of acoustic guitar. Am I the only one thinking about using the L-word to describe this? Not that L-word, the L-Boogie word.

Saw her about a week ago in D.C. at the Bilal, Wayna show. L-boogie’s acoustic set had to be the catalyst/inspiration for this talent. Tiara got skills!
