Yes, you read that headline correctly, rap nerds. The official artist credit on this remix of “Everyday in the Street” is El Da Sensei featuring Tame One and Rah Digga but make no mistake, this marks the first time that The Artifacts (El, Tame and DJ Kaos) have all been on the same side of the tracks in more than a decade (at least on a commercially available release, that is). And if you are the aerosol-huffing New Jerusalem underground rap fanatic who has been checking the blogs every noon and night for that reunion and never dared to hope it would come with a Rah Digga on top, your ghetto dreams have now been fulfilled. Rugged, minor-keyed and punctuated by K’s cuts of choice Nas, Raekwon and Sadat X soundbites, you couldn’t really ask for a better vehicle for these MCs to ride the rails on. FYI, this is off El’s The Nu World Remix EP which drops next Tuesday on Coalmine records. Wait for it, and it will come.
