Poet, musician and all-bouts renaissance man Saul Williams has dusted off his amethysts and also dusted off his rockstar on this new track (world premiere!) “Patience.” It is so misleading to call this dance rock but it is mad danceable and it is rock. But more in the sense than it feels like some moment when rock was the new dance music than it that it sounds like that 90s sub-genre where most rock had gotten so tired that it needed some club beats and some E just to wake it up. This shit is already wide awoke. And it is also the tip of a black iceberg coming at you on 11.11.11. That is Saul’s full-length joint Volcanic Sunlight (it’s real good, pre-order it on iTunes) and November  11th is the day he will, as he says, #occupyallstreets. Listen/download below and stay tuned for more!

Don’t sleep, this album is by far one of the best Saul Williams albums to date. Love the direction.. and the production soars to new heights.

Yeah…not really feeling this on the first 5 listens. Love Saul, so gonna give it a few more go ’rounds, but i’ll DEFINITELY listen to the whole thing on spotify before i give up any cash for it. Saul has gotten better with each release, I knew Niggy was gonna be hard to top.

Actually Jake is right. This album has been out for months in Europe. I got the album during the summer. It’s only just now coming out in America

Had this album for several months now (legally!) – released in Europe ages ago – so how is this a world premier?! A fantastic album that I hope Americans buy lots of! Well worth it and much better for not having Trent ruining it!

  • K

Not a world premiere by a long shot, but a great song and album nonetheless!

Such an awesome track, love that punk vibe but still dancing/rocking. Like a darker TV on the Radio, but comparisons aside the truth in the lyric is one of his best characterisitics
