Denitia Odigie teased us a few months back with three beautiful acoustic guitar accompanied songs on her Dream Suite EP and then disappeared. Thankfully, we can get use to hearing her on a weekly basis this month. Denitia will be releasing a 4-track EP entitled Songs for Sunset (once again, recorded in a Brooklyn living room) and will drop a song every Thursday to coincide with her residency at Arlene’s Grocery in NYC. Today, OKP is premiering track 1 of 4, “Earthly Gates.” Lay your burdens down, and let Denitia’s soothing sounds walk you past those earthly gates with her.
