They kinda had me at “Little Shalimar featuring Killer Mike,” but of all the hypothetical tracks Li’l Shal and Mike Bigga could have put down, “Melting” is extra super-duty tough. Up-rock bongos and lowdown guitar provide the backdrop for Mike to burn it down with his flow: “boom-shackalacka / I must be off my rocka / I only do it Waka Flocka”–a perfect balance to Shalimar’s falsetto on the hook.
