As we let y’all know recently, Exile will be dropping his new mixtape, Intro To The Outro, on August 31st (presented by LRG and Dirty Science). The tape is all Exile production with a few previously released tracks and many never before heard bangers. Features include MF DOOM, Bun B, Blu, Fashawn, Aloe Blacc, Dag Savage (Johaz x Exile), Co$$, and more. LRG will be handing out free copies of the physical version at all the Rock The Bells stops. Today we get the Co$$ assisted track “Leimart Park” for free download. When I first gave the tape a listen, this track right here and Aloe Blacc’s song (he’s back on that rapping shit) were easily my two favorites. With “Leimart Park” “Co$$ vividly pays homage to his hometown neighborhood in Los Angeles, responsible for developing some of hip hop’s greatest artists and moments, including the legendary Good Life Cafe which was home to Project Blowed where everyone from Freestyle Fellowship, Jurassic 5, and others frequented on a weekly basis in the late 80s and early 90s.” Also, be on the lookout for Exile’s first self-produced rap album, 4 TRK MIND, dropping October 4th via Soulspazm Records/Dirty Science.
