Ameriie The Prelude

I was just having a convo with the homie about how much of a travesty it is that Ameriie never managed to blow up. I still bump All I Have on the reg, and “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” was easily one of the biggest r&b records of ’02. She seems to be having more success internationally, but she’s back at it to try another U.S. push today. With an added I in the name, here she is with her latest track “Every Time.” Focus is on the boards for this one, and once again I think she has a solid single on her hands. Let’s see if this one will translate. The track will appear on her upcoming mini LP, The Prelude.

I have always loved her but I think it was all of the fast songs that slowed her career. Her slow tunes have always been the best. I like the producer she has worked with but I think she should work with Neptunes or someone who will enhance her voice.

I like this track! It’s got that 808 RunDMC Sucka MC’s early 80′s feel to it! Not to mention, the picture is sort of nostalgic. Her slow/mid tempo tunes are the ticket and I agree that the fast tunes aren’t really her forte. I’m glad she’s back! Hope she can get the push she needs to keep her around longer…

I’ve been a fan since she first came out. Her first CD was full of hits. Her 2nd cd was the same you only had to skip one maybe two songs. She should have blown up like some of her contemporaries. The only thing I don’t like about Amerie is her new haircut. Her sweet voice and her producers have always been a perfect fit.
