Alan Thicke has passed away at the age of 69 in Burbank, California. Thicke suffered a heart attack as he played hockey with his son Carter.Hewas pronounced dead at the hospital he was transported to. Thicke was widely known for his role on the 80s ABC sitcom Growing Pains, which ran for seven seasons and was recently onNetflix's showFuller House.Thicke was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada onMarch 1, 1947. Although known primarily for his acting Thicke was also a singer and songwriter.

He composed the theme songs to multiple shows including:Diff'rent Strokes,The Facts of Lifealong with the themes for TV game shows likeThe Wizard of Odds, The Joker's Wild, Celebrity Sweepstakes, The Diamond Head Game, Animal Crack-Ups, Blank Check, Stumpers!, Whew!,and others. Thicke also wrote popular songs such as"Sara" for Bill Champlin.Alan Thickeis survived by his wife Tanya and three sonsBrennan, Carter and the famedsinger Robin.
