Ice Cube, Tyler The Creator, Flying Lotus To Headline Afropunk Brooklyn 2016
The summer festival lineups continue to pour in, and this morning we have yet another one to add to your must attend list. Moments ago, Afropunk Brooklyn announced the lineup for their 12th annual NYC festival. As usual, there’s something for everyone on this roster led by Ice Cube, TV On The Radio, Tyler, The Creator, CeeLo Green, Flying Lotus, The Internet, Janelle Monáe, George Clinton, Thundercats, Earl Sweatshirt, and many more.
This year’s weekend-long celebration takes place on August 27th & 28th at Brooklyn’s Commodore Park in Fort Greene. The festival will be home to more than 60 acts throughout the weekend, performing on three stages (this year featuring the first ever Brainfeeder & Soulection stages).
More than just music, Afropunk Brooklyn will also home over 100 craft artisans and 25 food vendors including original artwork and murals created in conjunction with the Art for Amnesty and Museum of Contemporary African Diaspora Arts (MoCADA).
Afropunk will also be brining back it’s AFROPUNK Army system, giving fans an opportunity to volunteer at the fest in exchange for general admittance (more info here) - everyone else can purchase your tickets here. Check out the full lineup, below.
