Wale's Mixtape About Nothing Drops Today
Posted by gingerlynn on May 30, 2008

Inspired by the Larry David produced 90s sitcom Seinfeld, Wale drops The Mixtape About Nothing today, mixed by Nick Catchdubs and presented by 10 Deep. Wale includes his Roots hit "Rising Up," also featuring Chrisette Michele, as the #2 joint on this mix. Good taste! The whole mixtape is hot, so download c/o elitaste and let that go-go inspired hip-hop hit you in the head. You can also buy the limited edition “Serenity Now!” Tee (if you watch Seinfeld, you get it!) from 10 Deep . For the 1st week of June, each t-shirt bought will come with a free hardcopy of the mixtape.

Oh man- my favorite sitcom and my favorite up-and-coming rapper. Awesome! I cannot wait for dude's album. He said he's working with Pharell, Premo and Ronson among other producers.

do you mean "right" or "write"?
lol
funny how you're calling someone names and you don't know the difference between "right" and "write".
Wale is a decent rapper but DC rappers as a whole are terrible. Asheru is from the burbs, not the District!

ususally i dont right on these comment box things. but when i saw what that dumb numb headed fool under me just said about the mixtape i just couldnt hold back. ur the reason why hip-hop is dying fool. u have been conditioned to listen to the samething over and over. and when someone comes out with something new and refreshing u think its wack. did u even listen to the mixtape. its obvious the concepts are over ur head. that soldier boy an boosie has messed ur head up. it real sad that u cant appreciate authentic music. stop hating . and by the way the mixtape was a classic. best cd ive heard this year.D.C stand up!

you know, i was bothered at first by his delivery at first, but now i realized that it makes you pay attention to his lyrics more. which are killer.

WOW!!! This is the hottest mix CD in my book of all times for this year. WOW!!! "The Kramer" is the hottest!!! Man!!! This is the hottest!!!
Right now I'm lost for words... and Soldier Boy spat his butt off!!! Man this whole CD has a Roc feel to it I must say. A bunch of mid-west Chi skylinin'.

His Mixtape is cool I give it a B+... i like the "back in the go go, perfect plan, and hype . I wish he would change up his delivery sometime. He did that once completely on this tape. but he basically raps the same on each song in terms of how he delivers his raps over beats. oh yeah..and on his "female joint"..he raps in a whisper..that was cool too. I am still not convinced this is " the future of hip hop"... two mixtapes dont cut it....
He has a long way to go..before he is "killin it".... like a lil Wayne buzz... killin it type shit..
but that my opinion..and I opine when i want to...
yay shit bitch!
I give it a B +
