On June 24th, Virgin EMI will release THE BEST SO FAR…, an enhanced greatest hits CD/DVD which will include top hits, rare tracks & seven previously unreleased music videos from contemporary soul legend D'angelo. According to the press release, the new collection is titled The Best So Far… "because D'Angelo is far from finished, currently writing and recording his highly anticipated next musical chapter." There will also be a digital album, video downloads, and ringtunes available on the day of street. Well all right!

LOLmama: Right two albums and they put together a ‘best of’ album? 17 tracks are pretty much both albums put together (23 tracks) Yeah seven unreleased tracks but most time unreleased tracks are UN-released for a reason

This isn’t all bad; think about it– least the “suits” are realizing D’Angelo still lives on and are willing to bank on it; and did you not read the tidbit of currently recording and writing new material… let the man get his “when it’s finished” on. He’s had his ups and downs and all that energy and things he’s been through is surely fueling his creativity. Plus this could be a sign that the labels and the business end of it is aware of his upcoming return and are trying to get the buzz back and perhaps some new and old fans to get there ears wet with a lil’ greatest hits— LOL and who the f*ck else would have a greatest hits collection with only just two records released haha that’s D’Angelo -crazy.
yea, this could be a good sign, usually greatest hits means Virgin has cut its ties to D’angelo and is trying to get that last buck out that ass befoe he jumps labels.
