As reported earlier, The We Are The World Remake video, "We Are The World – 25 for Haiti" aired during the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Winter Olympics this past Friday. The song features appearances from an all-star lineup of over 80 artists and performers, who gathered on February 1st in the same studio that the original track was recorded (Henson Recording studios, formerly A&M Recording Studios). Above you can watch the final result of the Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie produced collaboration. You can visit world25.org to download and donate to the relief and rebuilding efforts in Haiti. Of course, we highly encourage any donation to Haiti relief efforts, and this song was without question recorded with the best of intentions. But to quote Wyclef himself "You can either make the song, or not make the song."

they stained the original with this. it was a rush job & just lacks integrity or any aesthetic.

i was actually surprised to see it posted here with the fact that it shut down RIK.com & illdoctrine.com

good intentions..but the track is straight bullshit though… autotune throughout let’s you know that a lot has gone to ass

  • eazy

this is one of the funniest things ever. Wayne, Akon and T-Pain autotunin, Jamie Foxx doing a Ray Charles impression, Busta and LL and Kanye rappin…

this is a hot mess. good laugh though.

The song should have never been touched. I mean really 70% of the artist should have never been on the song in the first. The remake is sad and is a slap in the face to the original song. What the hell was Wycle doing or saying? LiL wanye, T-Pain damn people, what are you thinking. Honesty I have nothing nice to say about this piece of SH*T song (Remake)

  • err…uhh

well, well, well…i was scared to listen to this off the strength of the lineup. err..yeah, that was bad!!! the ONLY saving graces we janet singing with mike and jennifer hudson. other than that, good cause, phucked up song.

Wyclef sounds like hes choking a llama

  • mu3

not a good remake. it would be better if they did a new original tune.
that “what’s goin on” remake by various artists was much better than this.

…am I the only one who projectile vomited when justin beiber started singing?

  • Christina the Golden Goddess

hmmm… well i can say that it wasn’t as terrible as everyone stated. and wyclef singing like a “goat” was nothing new… that is his unique singing style, so it came as no surprise… having top rap artists rapping on the song makes sense, as this is a new generation of artists and rappers are a big part of that… the lineup was very “interesting” though… having justin bieber on the track was oh so whack… nicole scherzinger got a lot of face time for someone who’s not a star, even though she does have an amazing voice… jamie foxx doing the ray charles impression was interesting…lol… i didnt know it was him at first… and all in all it was just an interesting group of people… they should have thought harder about that lineup… this song will go down in history and they’ve got f*cking justin bieber and miley frickin cyrus…

LMAO at the AUTOTUNE festival By 4:44 !

  • Mondee B.

Yeah, hella bullshit, Snaps. Why AUTOTUNE?! WHY THE WACK ASS RAP BREAKDOWN!!!

  • Jahi

Jay Z proves once again why he’s intelligent by staying off this awful rendition of a classic. Q is my hero and a giant, but this was a real bad move all the way around. They should quietly pull the plug…
