And another thing!!!THE ROOTS ARE THE BEST HIP HOP GROUP EVER SECOND ONLY TOO A TRIBE CALLED QUEST.AND THE BEST HIP HOP ALBUM EVER MADE IS NOT NAS ILMATIC ITS DE LA SOUL BUHLOONE MIND STATE AND ONE MORE THING THE BEST ALBUM EVER MADE IN ANY GENRE OF MUSIC IS JIMI HENDRIX BAND OF GYPSYS FOLLOWED VERY CLOSELY BY THE TIME ICE CREAM CASTLES AND THE CONGOS HEART OF THE CONGOS...in my opinion.

I think what Quest said was completely relevant in these days in time in regards to music in genaral not just hip hop.Im 36 and i guess my definition of hip hop is alot different than most young cats out there.Truth be told i used to buy records just cause they looked tuff on the cover(ANYBODY REMEMBER JUSTICEs COVER FOR KOOL AND DEADLY?MY MAN HAD GOLD FRONTS THAT WOULD PUT RZAs GOLD GANGS TO SHAME...beleive)And 9 times out of 10 whatever you bought the joints would be dope.I said that to say this...at the end of the day who cares?Those days are long gone and there realy aint no use in bringing it back.Now its all about business before music.If you could get away with selling a watered down product and make more money...why not?I for one do not support this but unfortunately thats the way it is.Besides The Roots,Q-Tip,GANGSTARR,FINALE,MF DOOM,DE LA SOUL,BEASTIE BOYS i rarely listen to alot of HIP HOP made these days.Its all about ROOTS REGGAE and old FUNK records for me these days.And no direspect to muslims but SAAFIR became extremly wack when he became one.QUEST KEEP MAKEING THAT PAPER......peace.

the roots have never and will never disappoint me. except birthday girl... haaaa... but that song just wasn't for me, and i understand it... i'm just sayin that these guys live up to their name constantly progressing and giving thanks to the creators of this culture THROUGH their music... amazing... if i only knew how to really signify, then i would say what i mean as well as what I also meant... i'm just not a signifyin' monkey so i'll try again after this album...

how is doing loads of shows being business like? its just keeping yourself out there so the fans are getting what they want. The music has never been demined or belittled in anyway shape or form as of yet in my opinion so they are no way sellouts the moment they start sounding like ablack eyed peas theats selling out and to think they used to be so dope aswell lol
