Video: The Roots Perform A New Song During The Winter Olympics

The Roots crew took their show up to Canada last week to perform during the opening ceremonies of the recently concluded Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Unfortunately, the performance wasn't televised, so we dug up this footage from NBC. Click here to watch behind the scenes footage, as well as the actual performance mixed in with Olympic highlights. This is a brand new song entitled "The Fire." The lyrics clearly fit in perfectly with the Olympic theme – word is that it is currently slated to appear on their upcoming album, How I Got Over. Above, check out The Roots perform "Thought @ Work," How I Got Over," and "Here I Come." Props to Thomas Attila Lewis.
