The Foreign Exchange 's sophmore LP, Leave It All Behind, is out now. This album is on constant repeat over here at the OKP office. Today we're premiering the video for the first single "Daykeeper" featuring Muhsinah. The video is high on the dramatics, but fits the song well.  Directed by Salih Abdul-Karim and Dana Kinlaw.  Edited by Salih Abdul-Karim.

  • Mr. Mullins

It’s crazy how when I first listened to the album and this song how you can kind of picture it just from hearing the lyrics and the production of the joint….DOPE

  • Not-So-Viscious MC

idk if your tryna get his video on MTV, VH1 Soul, or BET or anything, but if so… i really think it woulda been a better move for yall to have been in the video, or atleast one of you.

Cuz if this video does hit TV… they gonna be thinking that dude is Phonte, and the girl is Musinah… i dont think you all are big enough yet that people recognize you where you shouldnt be in the videos. but thats just me.

the video is GREAT!!! i just think you all shoulda been in it.

  • se.po

  • alex chadwick of 3rd Brillyance

p.s the video was boring though!

  • Kilah415

I LOVE THIS VIDEO. It conveys the passion of the song and feels genuine, and I think it tells a way more powerful story without showing the artists. Gorgeous!

  • Bakari

This album is crazy and you threw in second disk of straight instrumentals! I simply love it…continue making and creating uplifting music. Looking forward to the show in D.C.

  • Goldfish

  • Goldfish

  • Onno

What should I say, I haven`t heard such a deep song the last years, this song embodys love

  • asstacks

HEY GENIUSES, MTV AND BET DONT PLAY VIDEOS ANYMORE SO DON’T WORRY ABOUT PHONTE AN NIC NOT BEING IN THE VID.

  • D.HOGG

i saw this vid on friday. i been listening to the album all weekend. its been on repeat ALL weekend. but yea, daykeeper is the centerpiece of the project. the whole project is just mellow and sparks creativity. i need to find the 1st F.E. album.

  • Ill-Bee

This is got to be the one of the saddest, most lovingly-beautiful music videos I’ve ever seen. Sad because i can’t imagin (after watching it) feeling any lonelier about not having my own “Daykeeper” who’s watchin over me. But on the flip side beautiful, in its translation of a song that speaks volumes on the greatest of human conditions, ya know….”that feelin” and everything that goes with it. peace.

  • Lyrikally Ill

Big shout to my man Dana Kinlaw on this video. Its dope..dude’s finally getting some recognition!!!

    Peace
    Lyrikally Ill

  • Quealy Jackson

The collaborative prowess of The Foreign Exchange rivals that of Gnarls Barkley. Amazing.

  • bkmagnolia

i’ve loved this song since i heard it a few months ago & the video is a great compliment to it. YAY Muhsinah – keep doing it BIG, sis. :)

  • Optee

Shouts out to my homie Dana who helped Direct this joint right here!

  • Finnius Fontaine

I agree to most if not all posts above. LIAB is the truth out there in this “…cold, cold world.”

  • JO @ Aufbrand

Love the song, but not really feeling the video. As the blurb indicated, it was too heavy on the dramatics. The video never “went” anywhere…too dark, too many transitions, pointless coffee cup.

*waiting for “Something to Behold” video*
