I was born/raised in DC and grew up listening to Rakim, EPMD, BPD, NWA, A Tribe Called Quest. That was the golden age of the genre- listening to this wack shit makes me miss those days oh so much. I love the video. It’s hot really. The throwback rich look was different. Love to see my pretty dark skin girl, in full effect – no ass shaking required. I think the song was written with sarcastic undertones but it’s overall a good effort. Just heard the dope album (coped if from iTunes it was mad cheap) and it rocks. I like the style Tabi is putting out there. I even like the past videos he and his film company has done. But I was disappointed with this video. I was at the video shoot and alot of footage was lost. The concept was good in theory, but not executed well. more than 70% of the models are missing out of the video. What happened to the Robin Leach white guy. What happened to the fireplace scene and the different beautiful colors and ethnicities of models. I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE Model and glad she made the cut, but there was butta pecan ricans, and mocha lattes. And why are all the shots tight closeups. Cant get the full style of the aristicrats. Plus, isnt a verse missing in the song? Maybe some of the footage got damaged! and they had to make hard cuts on it to save what they could. From what I witnessed being there to seeign the final, Im empty a bit.
