Video: Saul Williams & The Niggy Tardust Experience @ The Roxy
Posted by Shamz on Nov 19, 2009
Quddus and All The Way Live got some footage of Saul Williams' show at The Roxy in Hollywood for Saul's, The Niggy Tardust Experience. In the clip we get Saul performing "List of Demands," Tr(n)igger," and "Sunday Bloody Sunday." The Niggy Tardust Experience just wrapped up two nights ago in Vancouver. Be on the lookout the next time Afro-Punk and Saul take their act on the road.

I love Saul and his music a LOT
but! it kind of strikes me as odd
to see him perform the line
"the n**a is you"
to a crowd of white people repeating the line.
i guess sometimes it seems calling out
people of the same race like that can be just as
dangerous as a wearing jewelry and rapping about
being a killer

I can't believe more people haven't heard of this album and I'm glad Saul has been touring for like two years straight to get the word out.
For one thing, it's the only album (that I know of) with beats entirely by Trent fucking Reznor, one of rock/electronics most lasting and influential artists. He's still relevant and popular after 21 fucking years.
Also, Saul Williams is rather awesome. As far as poet MC's go he's the most listenable and his lyrics have a badass abstract quality.
