Raphael Saadiq takes us back to the better days of soul music with this black and white video for "100 Yard Dash." I'd be running that 100 yard dash, too, if the vixen in this vid was waiting at the finish line. The Way I See It is in stores now.

Saadiq is the truth!
Oakland Represent…this album was underrated…shouldve got that grammy nod
nice work P!
good stuff. love the album.
much better/more stylish video than the Love That Girl one..
reminds me of the Madlib video for the Bluenote project the way they incorporated the old album cover art and fonts into it.
cool stuff.
I tend to run no more than 40 yard dash increments, but with this blasting, me and her may go thee DISTANCE

This version is a little different from the album!!! Hot!!!
Great song ugly vixen.. he should run
glad they did a video. tis the jawn. can someone link me to who the bass player and drummer were for this tour, my google skills are not comin through on this one. thankya kindly
Love this song, love the album! Fantastic musical artistry that hard to find in today’s market. But, I was mad at the first video cause he complete cut out his black female audience by having the white chic….that was foul. We were not represented at all. SO now for this video, he gets a black chic, but a hood rat/stripper looking chic. Is that your representation of black women Raphael?! Where were your PR people?
i prefer the album version
… i thought that was strange too for him to not have a sista
in the “that girl” video also, i thought that was “Whack” like
j jizzy would saylol but the vintage soul he’s bringin’ is crazy and for it to sound so authentic like him and his production crew jumped into a time machine back to the 60′s, my hat goes off to him for his creativity and innovation..
Way to throw it back. Pause!

great video… dont matter what color that chik is, i f em all
Straight up vintage – I’m lovin the throwback with a little modern appeal. Raph gets the go hard innovator from me for taking a risk with a concept album like this. It’s accessible to new jacks and gives much respect to the waymakers of the industry.
Love this album! Real music! Radios are killing the music these days!
anyone know who the bassist is?
Loving the blog!
I would like to ask you if you would be kind enough to update your embedded version of Raphael Saadiq’s “100 Yard Dash” video with a higher quality version. The version currently existing on your site is overly compressed and inaccurately “squeezed” into a smaller non-widescreen window. We (those of us who worked hard with Raphael in the creation of this video) feel this better quality version much more accurately depicts our vision of a project we are all very excited about.
Higher quality video available here:

or you can embedd it by pasting the following code:
