Video: Nyle "Let The Beat Build"
Posted by Shamz on Apr 20, 2009
The Lil Wayne covers are a little tired at this point, and we've all heard 100 thousand trillion Mcs take a stab at "Let The Beat Build." So understand that if I'm still posting a remake of it, it must be something dope and different. Watch as Nyle and his music class let the beat build like you ain't never seen it built before.

Whoa is right...where that girl come from! She took the light from you. Up until that point I was proud of light skin weezy (I dont listen to most rap so I probably spelled that wrong). You get so many points for the use of INSTRUMENTS. They do wonders right. Much love always

**kanye produced the original joint if no one has answered "Frankie Octane" yet. Just had the sample and looped it, was feelin it and built it up piece by piece--read about the session in an article on all the producers who put together Carter III.
This video is definately crazy, dope idea and well executed. we'll see if he lives up to it with his other content though.

this is an enjoyable video to watch. You cant say that much about 98% of the Hype Williams-esque videos on MTV jams or MTV 2 with all the rented chains and oh-so-over-used Phantom cameos and explosions and booty shaking and making it rain BULLSHIT. THIS is a MUSIC video. I'd love to see more shit like this; simple and genuine talent. Music and art. We are hip hop, and a video that will encourage and inspire anyone who watches it to grab a camera and exploit one's musical and artistic drives, is a good thing for hip hop. Support this.

First of all I am not one of these cat on lil' Wayne's dick saying he's some kind of lyrical monster cause I haven't heard any evidence of that yet. The only song I thought that Wayne was kinda clever on was Mrs. Officer. The other song I kinda liked by Wayne was "let the beat build". That's only because the beat is dope. Whoever produced this beat ( I think it was David Banner somebody look that up) did a good ass job on it. now this cat Nyle made let the beat build a instant classic in my book. 1st he took the song and flipped it Roots style. I don't know how much he had to do with the instrumentation of the song but it was dope. All the players, the vocalist and the chick dancing at the end. Nyles lyrics... dope! Unlike Wayne's constant whining (and auto tune makes it worse) I understood every word you said. And, the low budget video is dope.

Im inspired...haven't seen a concept this real in a minute. To: Critical Beatdown, I haven't seen a vision this creative in a while, especially with the kind of budget an aspiring artist gets. That's out of pocket money.
