Last week, OKP favorite, Nneka dropper her U.S. debut album, Concrete Jungle (buy it on iTunes or Amazon), to much acclaim. The buzz around her has grown so high that she was recently the musical guest on Late Night with David Letterman. Watch above as she performs her hit song "Heartbeat." After the jump, check out footage from her show at SOBs as well as an interview with Society HAE.

the album version is SOOOO much doper.
big ups to Nneka and her band. and what is doper is the live show. saw em in SF in december – the pound from the rhythm section was awe-inspiring as was watching the show with Boots Riley bustin a groove right next to me.
keep on bringin the realness
i don’t quite get the hype. i son’t like her that much, mainly because of her strong nigerian accent. it would sound much better if she sang in her motherlanguage IMO
STZA, you looking silly ignorant right now.
Her English is perfect and her accent is a representation of her cultural origins.
She also sings in her mother tongue on the album.
The reality is that if you have a message you want everyone to hear the best vehicle is English.
Live DOPENESS
NIIIIIIICE!
Nneka rocked the Letterman show!!! I gotta pick that album up soon…
