Video: Mos Def on 106 & Park

Mos Def's long awaited The Ecstatic LP drops tomorrow. Last Friday, Mos was on BET's 106 & Park to promote the project and his new movie, Next Day Air. Watch as Mos gives the audience a freestyle followed by a brief interview. I hear you can also look forward to seeing Mos perform "Casa Bey" with a certain Legendary Crew very soon.

I doubt that all the people that watch 106 and park, or the folks in the audience even know who Mod Def is.

106th and Park is hella wack. They weren’t ready for his flows, they weren’t even payin attention. Respect Mos Def, he never left, haters.

I Mos Def have to agree with some of you cats watching the audience in the back ground, they look like they weren’t even into it. Scrathing their heads. Probably saying “Wow! So this is real free styling!”

I agree with a lot of you cats! Watching this footage on top of other negative things I’m seeing/hearing in Hip-Hop, it makes me sad. I cant believe they put Mos Def on there! You could tell he was feeling the same way! Man…I felt bad for him just to see these young kids fake acting like their into his shit when they don’t even KNOW how DOPE he is!

    Bullshit, man.
