Last week, Stones Throw recording artist Mayer Hawthorne (and DJ Benji B) stopped by the Suite903 offices for this in-house performance. During his time there he ran through a few tracks off his upcoming album. In this clip we get to hear him perform "Maybe So, Maybe No" with that timeless voice of his. A Strange Arrangement is scheduled to drop September 8th, and trust me, this album is worth every penny.

He should get together with Saadiq. I’m sure they could make some classic music together…
He should really link up with Sharon Jones and do a duet…Classic..
unwatchable…unlistenable…next
but that dude in the back can rock the just standing there…
That Caucasian got Soul persuasion! Cant wait for the album!
mayer is the man, good’ol soul!!!
this dude is dope but man….the world is sleeping on Zaki Ibrahim. honestly…not hate at all. i love everything stones throw does. but the retro has been done much in the last years and this is a more underground attempt at it and still should be supported but man Zaki. look her up people. i dont work for her. okayplayer did an amazing review on her. the most original shit ive heard in a long while. peace to mayer and the stonds throw family.

i understand everyone has a different taste in music but I don’t know way there are people dissin’ the guy, his sound is fresh even is it’s retro, the man has soul and that’s what matters to me.
there’s much crap going on in the so called hip hop/r&b world that i’ll take a breath of fresh air like MH anyday versus Kanye or T.I. or any of those boring, repetitive and stealers of underground ideas.
i will be at vintage vinyl on the 8th to get this one.
