Video: KiD CuDi “Pursuit of Happiness” feat. MGMT & Ratatat [Alternate Video]

KiD CuDi's last video, "Pursuit of Happiness" off of his debut album, Man on The Moon: The End of Day, received heavy criticism from most who saw it. Yesterday, the video's alternate version hit the net, and in my opinion it's clearly an upgrade over the original. Here is the Megaforce directed video for "Pursuit of Happiness" featuring MGMT & Ratatat.

Ten times better than the original with that talentless punk Drake.

my favorite track on the album.. this video is awesome!
it has a very Michel Gondry feel to it with the disorienting couch transitions.. very surreal and clever. love it.

Much better than the original, what is the big deal with the first one? No models where injured during the shooting of this video! What?

The problem with the first was that it wasn’t this video bottom line.

Really, Why everybody wants to be a singer!! Brotha needs to stick to rapping and perfect that skill first.

the controversy on the original was that nobody got it. they saw the partying, the drinks, the girls and didn’t even watch it till the end, when it turns out that this is not where one finds happiness. the first video was DOPE! this one is even DOPER!!!

woo this is it right here. first one was dope and like STZA said a lot of folks didn’t get it– still I felt it wouldn’t merit repeated viewing— with this version I can go back to it over and over to fine hidden detail in the imagery. This showcases that heavy “Man on The Moon”-esc vibe better than the last and matches the other videos from the album better– song is genius and prophetic listen to it; as it’s not only honest and personal to the artist but you’ll find it to have meaning within your own life and goals.

This video is so much better than the first, but you know they had to play the record industry game just to get this one done. Funny how that works:)
