Video: Kelis “Acapella”

Lost in all the recent drama surrounding Kelis is the fact that she was once a very talented and progressive artist, who's style has been bit by many of the young artists on top of the pop world today. Kelis' latest song is more towards the genre of dance, as opposed to the Kaleidoscope type of sound that won me over back in '99. Here is her video for "Acapella," off of her upcoming album, Flesh Tone, set to drop this summer. That's her son with Nas, Knight Jones, at the end of the vid.

shame she fell off after Tasty, everything after that has been mediocre at best…the song is lame but the vids crazy…watch out for gaga making something “inspired” by this…

This tribal theme is nothing new…Kelis is whack as fuck now SORRY but Gaga shits all over when it come to talent! Kelis’ ship has sailed way back in 2003! And the attempt to make Kelis seem as is she has any type of influence over Gaga is a slap in the face to true innovators such as Grace Jones, Madonna and Cyndi Lauper! Kelis never any major success to even influence a fly let alone a major star like Gaga or rihanna for that matter!! Kelis has never even went platinum!

oh please…just like the article said so many bit her style. gaga is a bitter!!! kelis has sick vision and crazy talent. she is beyond her time. ya’ll need to catch up! just cause its not what ur used to hearing from her. you should have know n from her first debut that she couldn’t be boxed in with her wild imagination and there is more to come. many of you felt her previous albums and there were many making the same comments about those tracks that ur making about these. soooo does that make you corny, mediocre etc. kelis doesn’t do commercial bs like rihanna and the rest of them. she is on her own track and trust she is big outside of the USA. ur too used to hearing bull on the radio so when something new comes along u don’t know how to accept it or what to think of it except its wack. keep doing you kelis!!!
