Video: Jay-Z "Run This Town" feat. Rihanna & Kanye West

Well here it is, the video for Jay-Z's "Run This Town" featuring Kanye West and Rihanna (produced by Yeezy & No I.D.). No hate, but the video does just about as much for me as the song does (read: very little). Hov's Blueprint 3 will be out September 11th. Video directed by Anthony Mandler.

Solid track... and this comes from a cat that stop listening to him after the Orginators (the first one!) and became a fan again on the Black Album. Ask youself a question. How many hip-hop cats do you know that can build this level of conversation amongst music lovers after being in the game so many years? Ladies and gentleman its hard to be that good and so rich. I have to agree that it's overly corporate. Like the beat, but I could name a few others with very similar elements. Don't get me wrong, Jay's reputation preceedes him, but judging from the recent stuff I've heard, he's lost a step. And Kanye. Kanye has never been a great MC. I mean "...beasting off the Reistling" has to be the most pretentious rhyme I've heard in a cold minute even considering it's from him.

Ok. Real talk. I like the imagery, the look and feel of the video. Jay's verses are cool, better than good, but Im still waiting to hear that one that makes me say "oh shit" I'm sorry, not feeling Rihanna on this one. Aye Jay- have your wife on the remix and I bet you it gets a lot more legs. And this brings me to Kanye West. Is it me or are his rhymes still....________________ fill in the blank.
