Video: Jay Electronica Roadside Freestyle in Nepal

Jay Electronica and Team DECON make a pit stop on the road to the Maratika Cave and Hindu Temple located in the Khotang District of Nepal near Mount Sagarmāthā (Nepali: सगरमाथा, known to us Westerners as MT Everest).  This was on the day that the highly controversial Hindu Goat Sacrifice Holiday began which was in the news a the "World's biggest animal sacrifice."  Fortunately for our goat, who Jay dubbed Swagger Jackson, it was saved… although scared shitless on the way up the mountain.  Lots more video and photos from this trip exist, hopefully to see the light of day soon.  Transcription after the jump.  Shot by me, edited by Tubo Da King.

what we call individual
is really just a collage
a bi-product of God
or the Wizard of Oz
a seed out of the sod
which was planted by wise
beings to bring about a thing
whether evil or clean
remains to be seen
so never trust a disguise
the wise weigh the intention
then they scan the horizon
for divine intervention
when they see it they record it
the prophets read it and call it Revelation
the preacher then sings to the congregation
slaves go back to work
and they sing from the plantation
Blacks vs Caucasians
Dominicans vs Haitians
the Serbs launch a nuclear attack against the Croatians
Christians say Revelation is being fulfilled
Satan is being killed
debating the pros and the cons
of the war with Iran
the war with Pakistan
the bombs, its just tragic
kmmmm, its just magic

If you truly have any clue what he’s talking about, you would realize the educated mind that this man possesses. I hope no one posts the usual d*ck rider comment but in all honesty no one out there today has the total package as far as new acts go. This guy combines lyrical complexity with actual knowledge mixed in with the ever loving dash of ignorance we all need in controlled doses although most of the youth get it in prodigious amounts.

Not trying to diss anyone, but I feel Jay’s overrated… I would rate him like a 7 or 7.5 –> did you see his boots??? LOL!!!

Why is ‘freestyle’ such a loose term nowadays? This piece, however hot it was, probably wasn’t a freestyle off the top of his dome. It’s tight regardless, but why misuse the term..

yo whatitis, the term freestyle has always been loosely used … check out this video from Big Daddy Kane where he talks about it…

of course that piece jay spits is not off the dome, obviously. it can still be referred to as a freestyle.

Ive seen a lot of comments about this mans boots, here and on other blogs. first of all, he was styled for the film, which partly takes place in Nepal, and hes on some Dr Jones shit. Someone in here correctly points out they are Polo. More importantly, what do you care about a man’s boots for anyway?

Sun drops a hot verse and dudes…wait, I suspect they’re “dudes;” although it’s highly likely that they’re women…start commenting on his boots. LMAO, classic!!!

    @ thisisdantana

They care about his boots, because they’re a couple of bamas!!
