Video: Homeboy Sandman “Not Pop”

For the homie TONE's latest artist profile video, the feature is on as interesting a character as one can find in the hip-hop scene, Homeboy Sandman. In this brief clip you get a performance by Boy Sand of his song "Not Pop." Afterwards he breaks down the verse and explains why hip-hop isn't at all a game to him.

I REALLY feel this brother Sandman? Why? Because he every time he rhymes he’s fearlessly honest. Only a minor handful write from the gut. “…hip hop is not a game”, Maybe we will take our art form more seriuosly, and society will take us more seriously if we stopped “playing the game”. Another banging performance. Be Blessed Bro.

Nothing better than seeing a real lyricist do his thing. Long Live Lyricism

Homeboy Sandman, true lyricist in a time where it’s needed most. Much respect homie! I always said myself “hiphop ain’t a game and if it was most would lack skills to score, tell me what are most of ya’ll here for”

I didn’t discover this guy till a few months back now I’m playing catch up! This guy is dope. He’s your rapper’s favorite lyricist! Or at least he should be.
