Video: GZA “Stay In Line” feat. Santigold Live @ The Hard Rock Hotel Chicago

I had no idea I was listening to Santi back in '02. According to Andrew "What you may not know, is that GZA gave Santigold one of her first features on "Stay In Line," when she was known as Santi White, on 2002's Legend of the Liquid Sword." In the above video GZA and Santi perform the track at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago Music Lounge for the Lollapalooza afterparty. Sidebar: By All accounts Santi KILLED her Lolla performance as well.

Yes…she killed…no wonder the GZA was hanging out on the stage at Lolla during her act.

You know why I hate these live video things? Because of it’s poor audio. You can’t make out what they’re saying on stage because there’s too much crowd background noise and mic feed back. But I’ll take your word for it that she rocked it!

We were all ripping on those other GZA performances – maybe it was a bad night. He has a lot more energy on this one. I’d pay to see THIS GZA.
