I've seen clips of people arranging music, sampling it, looping it, and putting it all together in one vid (Dwele's being one of my favorites) – and I think this one by Vancouver's Ebrahim deserves some shine. This vid is a few months old, but I just got put on to it this past weekend. Watch as Ebrahim covers Bob Marley, The Fugees, and The Roots with a mic, a sampler, a keyboard and a stool.

He’s such an inspiration for me for a while now (since the last Israeli-Palesinian conflict in Gaza in Dec 2008). My buddy just added one of Ebrahim’s songs to his myspace so i checked it out and was stuck. Ebrahim is just something else, his music is nothing less than mesmerizing. This video further proves it. He’s got mad talent, he deserves every bit of recognition he gets and then some.
He just has so much soul and passion. This was the first i saw of him on youtube a few months ago. And I can’t wait to see what comes out next.
