Video: Cubic Zirconia “Josephine”

One of my favorite new acts on the block is Cubic Zirconia, a trio fronted by Tiombe Lockhart on vocals, alongside Nick Hook and Daud Sturdivant on music making (and some vocals too). Here is their first video for the single “Josephine,” perhaps a tribute to Josephine Baker? Watch as Tiombe and co. get the dance party started in the jungle in this fresh b+w vid that makes direct reference to the rather racist old-timey black and white “Africa” movies.
