Video: Common & Nas – How I Wrote That Song Panel

During Grammy weekend in L.A., Nas and Common were speakers at the BMI hosted panel, How I Wrote That Song. In this clip, the two emcees speak on the impact their music has had on each other and the emotion behind their lyrics. After the jump watch Com perform an acoustic version of "The Light" with Zac Brown and Colbie Caillat.

    lol @ nas NOT knowing a common song, and getting bailed out by the audience (and really, “get ‘em high” wasn’t even the right song choice)

    I think Get’ em High was an appropriate example of a fierce battle rap type rhyme that doesn’t use a lot of profanity or gun references to make that point.

    yes it was the right song choice, straight up raw eating up foos alive (most likely about lil jon). “video hard to watch like medusa.. even your club records need a boosta, chimped up with a pimp cup illiterate nigga, read the infa, red across your head im bred king like simba.. bolder then denver, i aint a mad rapper just a emcee wid a temper!”
