Let's all hope that the above video is a sign of more good things to come. After the Grammy's this past Sunday night, Mos Def had a show at LA's House of Blues. What fans were not expecting was a full out Black Star reunion. Talib Kweli made a surprise mid-set appearance, and the duo performed two of their classics, "Definiton," and "Respiration." Courtesy of Tunji and Greg The Dude we also got some backstage footage with Kweli, Karriem Riggins, Madlib and DJ Rhettmatic. What I wouldn't do for a Black Star album in '09…

I remember when I bought the Blackstar album and after looking at the tracklist thinking to myself…”damn this is short!!”…but after listening to it I realized that it was quality over quantity and have purchased a few copies of it since due to me playing it so much. I hope the album does eventually come to fruition…just sooner than later
blackstar one of the greatest hopin that album comes sooner than later .. is it me or is the way they were lit on stage seem like they were glowing -truly blackstar’s

I was bangin’ Black Star in high school back in like 98′ and nobody was hip. It’s been like 11 years, when will Black Star bless the game with another classic???
It’s truly a crime that there’s only been one Blackstar album to date. “Respiration” is one of the greatest hip-hop tracks ever recorded.
Man, I hope Mos Def can be recapture his old self on his new joint that’s coming out soon. All his albums since “Black on Both Sides” have been mediocre, and disappointing.
