Video: Alchemist vs. Just Blaze (Red Bull Big Tune Finals ATL)
Posted by Shamz on Nov 05, 2009
The Red Bull Big Tune Final ended with a bang this year, once again. Unfortunately I didn't get to see it this year since it was in ATL, but this looks to be one of the highlights of the night. Here is a friendly beat battle between The Alchemist and Just Blaze. Both of these dudes have hits for days, and they show you just how deep their crates are with this battle. Very different sounds/styles, but they're both legendary status behind the boards in their own right.

They both made life rather sweet for me over the past 15 years but just blaze was totally unfair. ... thats how the average producer really is deep down. Goes where the crowd is. Al is a grimey rappers weed head producer. How and why didnt he drop his Classics? Fuck that. Just the shit. Al kept the real hiphop alive when every other producer was trying to git that cash.

how are you gonna play beats you made in 1997 in a battle? Just got em if those tracks were fresh but Alc wins on the basis of playing tracks made in the last DECADE.

I Just pray (no pun intended) that Blaze gets the chance to keep interacting with artist of the Jay Electronica persuasion...it seems to be bringing the best out of him anyone has heard in years...

Yeah the Jay Z tracks didn't seem appropriate in a beat battle.

hatin?
so overrated...
both producers go harder than most, AND jay has earned his respect... lets end the ignorance.

Stop Hatin'! Get mad at Jay for not comming with the heat anymore. If you check the beats behind the songs you will see JB is SICK!
Two different flavors from two of the nastiest producers out there!

So hears my question, if this is supposed to be a beat battle, why in the hell is Just relying on his catalog with Jay to get him a "I've got hits, I don't need beats" pass through this whole clip, niggas already know you're a producer, we want to know if you still stay in the basement...Alc showed his dusty fingers, maybe that cocaine green on your finger tips is making you a lil' lazy lately, might be time to figure out why you do what you do again Just...Salaam
