Who knows what will become of this, but here's a clip of 9th Wonder playing a beat he made for Nas. It's no secret that fans have been hyper-critical of Nas' beat selection in the post-Illmatic days, so how you think Nasir would sound on this 9th beat? This beat knocks, if Nas passes up on it I can definitely name some other rappers I'd love to hear rhyme over it.

Not sure if its right for Nas. But yeah I can think of 10 other rappers on this. (ex. blu, mos def ghostface, talib, Consequence etc)
Its a Generic “Hip-Hop” beat…
Hip-Hop is DEAD.
(I.E. The hip-hop we love from the 90′s is OLD SCHOOL.)
Make some new shit.
And keep yo Love Lockdown.
cosigns entirely, now i got go punch the mp in the face. That shit is crac 9th.
he could def do his thing on it… could really be dope if he chooses it
Well, listen the N Word album (Yes, I don’t like saying it and I’m black) and tell me if half of those beats sounded like typical Nas beats.
Yeah this works, get the net buzz and sell the beat!!!
…nah, just can’t hear nas spittin’ on that one…still dope though…
i think i can see nas on this beat. it catches you off guard at first listen but when u play it back, i can just picture my favorite emcee’s voice over this track. come on nas!!!
Not really feelin’ the beat. Like OKAYPLAYA said, it sounds like just another generic beat. But who knows? Maybe w/ the right emcee, it can sound aight.
I root for 9th, this beat is very run of the mill though. I think there’s a Ryan Leslie factor infecting the web. People making vids of them listening and over-feeling their own shit!!! Except RL vids are entertaining and edited well, Kinda funny 9th getting geeked cause he knows his own drop-ins and drop-outs….but whatever…I hope he does get a beat on Nas.
i really used to like 9th when he first came out but umm i dont think this beat is worthy of the illmatic flow, when it started i was expecting to hear sumthin miraculous but this track sounds like some leftovers from evidence’s lazy ass layover joint
a true MC can spit over any beat. . but this shitt is just uglyy.. u slacking of 9th . . is mediocre
…heat rock, lets see if Nas is smart enough to take it…lovin 9th’s ish lately…
I’m digging this one, even if it sounds just like every beat 9th ever made… Nas is good on his beats, just listen to God’s Stepson.
Anyway, that man’s crazy. Primo sent him a beat for N and he didn’t include it on the album.
If Nas doesn’t want it…I think Talib can rip it apart
The beats not that dope 9th….no wonder why LB don’t deal with this dude. Overly gassed!!!
Damn, I’m not too sure, i don’t know if that MP is working him or if he’s working it, however, I’m not giving up my optomism, for 9th’s sake…Salaam.

Paste if you dare suckaz!
If thats all he sent he’ll be disappointed once again… I like 9th but DJ Khalil’s stuff that didn’t make N (Esco Lets Go) is killin this track.
not sure what the heck yall are talking about..’
the untitled album had some really unimpressive beats. This one would definetly work for nas.
9th kilt that shit
This isn’t the best beat in the world….but it does have an organic New York feel to it…Nas’ flow + some Preemo scratches=B+ Nas track
It’s aiiight. I’ve heard 9th (like many of us have) do way better shit than this. I hope 9th hasn’t peeked with Lil Brotha.
the intro i dont dig as much ,, but the verse part is def a nas section ,, the chops sound like nas is like its kool
monch would rip it
That’s Nas all day right there! He could definitely rip it like he did on that “Usual Suspects” joint with Ross. I hope he doesn’t pass this one up.
IT’s a good chop but everybody did that Barry white cut!! it’s almost played out at this point!!! Be original!!!
