I never thought I’d see that come to life. I always wished it would happen.

  2. avatar mr. radio

do you think about me is my sh!*! dope performance

  3. avatar Gangsta of Love

50 Cent?!?!?!? Are you motherfuckers serious?!?!? 50 Cent epitomizes everything “WRONG” in Hip-Hop. Whoever thought it would be a good idea to post this buck-tooth dickhead’s music on OKP, is a Grade-A douche-bag.

This is “Hip-Hop” blasphemy and I don’t give a shit who disagrees with me. The Roots should have taken the night off.

ARRRRRRGH…I’m so enraged right now…I’m going to HULK up and smash something!!!

  4. avatar Dr Buss

what is the big deal? people make a big deal about 50. whats is he doing different from anyone else that is so bad?

  5. avatar Gangsta of Love

    @ Dr. Buss,

Come on man. He’s a subpar emcee and his music is complete SHIT. And before anyone fires back with how many records’ he’s sold; just remember that Vanilla Ice sold 15 million records and has the top selling Rap/Hip-Hop record of all time.

50 Cent and The Roots should never, EVER, be mentioned in the same sentence.

  6. avatar Gangsta of Love

It’s just a matter of time before The Roots are collaborating with Soulja Boy.

  7. avatar KD06

Yall can front on 50 all you want but ultimately he is still rhyming in the booth. I actually like his album and he’s still a battle MC now granted he is very predictable. He is like the Hulk Hogan of the rap game dude is entertaining and he still can pick a good track. Now is he one of my favorites in terms of lyrical content and subject matter, no. But he does have an ear for music or someone in his camp is picking good tracks for him. Either way he is showing better beat selection then some of the vets in the game. Jay-Z, Nas, and etc…

  8. avatar Gangsta of Love

“Battle MC?” LMAO!!!! Supernatural is a battle emcee, Juice is a battle emcee. Name one emcee that 50 Cent has battled? And don’t confuse “beef” with “battle.”

I can’t believe I’m reading this shit. Who’s fronting on 50 Cent? The guy sucks!!! And there’s no need to throw Jay-Z or Nas in the mix, because they’re lyrically, miles ahead of 50.

  9. avatar BCdude

    that was boring as hell
50 has the stamina of a sloth

  10. avatar Steel

LMAO! All of you that are all upset about The Roots and 50 together are exactly why we will nevver be able to come together as a hip-hop culture. Who are you to say should or shouldn’t do a song together or perform together? In this situation the funniest thing is everyone mad at 50 but giving TRC a pass for some reason. They should back whoever the hell they want to. They are a band and any real muscian knows that collaborating with others does nothing but help you grow! Get over it!

    fholla hip

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm breath ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what the mickey fickey is this

  13. avatar rude

I like how you blogger nerds think anyone cares about your idea of “hip hop”. This video is of musicians doing their thing, it was pretty good regardless of who the artists are. Big ups to the Roots Crew! Do your thing.

  14. avatar Mr Ry

The Roots made 50 listenable imo. I think this is great for hip hop, and I thought it was cool that he was chillin with the band during the show. It shows that deep down 50 is a hip hop head like the rest of us.

  15. avatar Rob88

    kinda harder without blaring
music and a hype man huh?

  16. avatar Both joints were dope,

the latter was groovin’ well, just watch Kirk lol.

And Gangsta of the Internet, shut the fuck up and go back to worldstarhiphop if you wanna express some shit on the YouTube-comment tip.

  17. avatar wurdup

now i dont like 50 personally but that was on fire, the roots can back up anyone and make them sound jammin and thats just proof right there but really it could have been worse atleast it wasnt soulja boy or the other talentless “Rappers” that sound the same

  18. avatar Gangsta of Love

    @ Both joints were dope:

I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’ve never been to that site and I didn’t know it existed, until you mentioned it. So you “shut the fuck up”…clown.

And I check out OKP because they’re dedicated to true artistry and I support 90% of the artist that they showcase. And by “support,” I mean that I actually purchase the music. How many of you can say the same?

I love The Roots and I don’t like 50 Cents music, PERIOD. So all of you 50 Cent fans can French-kiss the head of my “Dang-a-lang!!!”

  19. avatar KD06

Listen bruh as a man you should never ask another man to do anything with your private parts. Secondly, 50 does battle based upon what battles have turned into these days. Major artist are making diss records and 50 does that more than anyone else quite frankly actually too much thus the Hulk Hogan comparison. Is he going to freestyle I think not. Is his message something that I promote, nope. The point is if you don’t like 50 cool but don’t be so naive to think the Roots can’t perform with 50 nor is 50 incapable of making a song you like. If you didn’t like “In the club” or “Get money” your lying to yourself. I’m pro good music and 50 has made some over the years.

  20. avatar sick stuff

the roots flipped those tracks hard!. it actually made 50 sound more intellectual

  21. avatar Gangsta of Love

    @ KD06

So 50′s a great battle emcee because he starts unnecessary beefs? Okay, I see where you head is at. I can’t argue with your rationale, so let’s just agree to disagree.

“Hulk Hogan of the rap game?” Ay dios mio!!!

  22. avatar KD06

The Hulk comparison is really more about knowing that wrestling is fake but still has an entertaining quality. Clearly, Hulk was the best of the fake cats. I think 50 is at the top of his niche in the rap game; Studio Gangsters. The point is 50 is a clown but he does have a level of entertainment with him. He is by far no where near the best MC but given a good beat he can make a good song and his antics are mildly entertaining…

  23. avatar Squelch

Just think how much better it would have sounded with Black spittin instead of 50.

  24. avatar YeahhH

50 cent is an unbelievably trivial mc, why was this jackass hyped in the first place?
but this is still great because the roots are brilliant musicians
