As 2010 draws to a close, The Legendary Roots Crew add yet another accomplishment to their long list of achievements. The Roots scored a new film about the Black Panther movement in Philadelphia, Night Catches Us. The film stars Anthony Mackie, Kerry Washington and Tariq Trotter aka Black Thought (I see Marlo and Bunk from The Wire in there too). The film is out now in select theaters. Now I haven’t seen it just yet, but this preview looks good, and they don’t go around selecting just any movie for the Sundance Film Festival. Check here to find out where Night Catches Us is playing in a city near you.

Have the Roots gone too far?
Did the Legendary Roots Crew fail to get involved with an epic film illustration that has has all the ingredients a timeless story like a variant or viscious KILLER or MURDERER, or a fantastic car or foot CHASE, or a FIGHT or a double crossing greedy person or an underdog HERO that rises up in the end to save his ppl or a long JOURNEY thru a strange land while simultaneously neglecting what ppl really want to see in a movie? or do u think this is a combination EVENLY split between what ppl really want to see and what the roots stand for? deadmic.com
@deadmic

Yo this looks fresh….
I’ve seen this. We need more films like this. Will the score/soundtrack be made available to the public?
