The Roots Push Back "How I Got Over"

I know this news may lead to some of you feeling the urge to hurl your comp's out the window, but The Roots announced (via ?uesto's twitter) that they (The Roots, not the label) are pushing their 11th LP, How I Got Over, back 'til October. The Mighty Afro promises it will be worth the wait, and from what I've heard from the album thus far I'd have to agree. I also heard they shot a video for one of the songs off the project yesterday. If you really think about it, this is good news, as it allows more time for The Roots and Def Jam to promote this album properly and give you guys the best product possible. In the meantime, enjoy The Roots weekly stint at The Highline Ballroom NYC, as well as their upcoming dates on the Rock The Bells Tour this summer, to hold you over in the interim.

Firstly, don't twist it. It's NOT good news. I was going to buy the album regardless of promotion and secondly, why does promoting the album properly give me a better product?

good news? allow defjam to promote more? hahha you're joking right. Nobody even knew the last album came out, defjam gives the roots no love. Nobody would have known the album was gonna come out in august if it weren't for OKP and Questlove. give me a break, I think we've given defjam enough time to finally promote the roots.
