Don't believe the hype! There's no truth to the "The Roots' are retiring" rumor. Although they do now have a new day job, they certainly haven't hung up their touring hats for good… in fact, they are booking more and more tour dates as I type this. Does anyone know how the first show at the highline went off. I have tickets to see them later this month, but now I see that it’s only parts of the Roots and special guests. The show at the Highline was crazy! Tuba Gooding wasn’t there, but Talib, Pharoe, John Forte, and sax great Gary Bartz ripped it. NYC is blessed, The Roots have taken over!

If you haven’t seen a Roots show your missing out on a great hip hop experience. They put on a show vice walking back and forth across the stage with their homie and entourage for 2hours. Black Thought is the Master of Cermony (M.C)…definately underated, unrecognized,unappreciated by the commerial,gold teeth,hoes,pimp your self to the record label industry!!!
