The Roots - How I Got Over Album Artwork + New Release Date

I know y'all didn't think How I Got Over was going under. We've all been anxiously anticipating a new release date for The Roots' new album, How I Got Over, since its last delay. Now we have a date, and it's only a matter of weeks away! HIGO, The Roots' 11th studio album will be hitting shelves on June 22nd (check out the official artwork above). Clearly this doesn't leave much time to push more new music off the project but OKP's got some inside info for you on what songs you can expect to hear next. First up will be a song that's tentatively titled "Web 2.0" which has The Roots keeping it in the fam with features from Truck North and Peedi Crakk, no hook, just monster bars from BT, Truck, and Peedi. After that cut, the next "single" will be a devastatingly amazing song called "Dear God" featuring Jim James (of My Morning Jacket fame). We'll of course post up all the new content from The Legendary as soon as it's ready.

I'm sorry, while i'm stoked for a new Roots album, I'll believe it when it's in my hand. ?uest has promised too many release dates for this album and hasn't delivered on them. I love the roots but the push backs have irritated me to the point that I don't care anymore...

No doubt, this art is super garbage. Maybe (hopefully) this is just some placeholder shit until the real art is finished. I don't even see how anyone could think this looks good, if it's for real I'm mad disappointed. Have a contest or something - bet the fans would come up with something 100x better than this.
