The Roots are still planning on releasing their latest album, How I Got Over, very soon. News was announced that The Legendary have enlisted the help of Joanna Newsom, John Legend, and Jim James to fill feature spots on the LP. The album is being mixed, and Black Thought is just finishing his vocals. To go along with this news, ?uesto posted the above vid of him recording the Joanna Newsom track (he also says HIGO is coming in June).

I don’t get it. I find Joanna Newsom to be absolutely un-listenable. I don’t mean that from a pretentious stand point either. She ACTUALLY sounds HORRIBLE. Like one of the people you might laugh at while watching American Idol auditions. “a Finnish grandmother shriek when she ran over a sick cat that just swallowed 50 feet of piano wire?” I think sums it up well. Can anyone point me in the direction of a song that won’t require drugs to enjoy? because I’m really trying here…. Otherwise, really excited for the album!
