See Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew Live in Boston, DC, and NYC Opening For Balkan Beat Box
Posted by gingerlynn on Mar 11, 2010

Starting today, Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew hit the road for a short East Coast mini-tour, making stops in Boston, D.C., and NYC as the opening act for Gypsy rockers Balkan Beat Box, who weave together pop, rock, ragga, hip-hop, electronic, Arab & Bulgarian singers, Greek guitars and more. As we've mentioned before, Bajah + The Dry Eye Crew, hailing straight from Sierra Leone, have been killing it with their African influenced hip-hop meets reggae meets pop sound. Their album is set for a July/August release this summer, and they recently added a special guest feature from Nneka to the record. For more about Bajah + DEC check out this piece in The Boston Globe, or the New York Times bit after they tore the house down at Carnegie Hall. Then, follow Bajah on twitter at @planetbajah and find them here on facebook. ?uestlove had this to say about Bajah when he announced the 3rd Annual Roots Picnic: "if you've been to any of The Roots jam sessions you know that is one performance not to be missed, they shut down Carnegie Hall - they shut down every performance!" Balkan Beat Box will continue their tour, after these 3 dates, over on the West Coast. Check after the jump for their continued tour dates.
