Rock The Bells ’09 Lineup

Yes, ladies and gentlemen it's that time once again… the announcement of this years Rock The Bells. I was just going to post the flyer, but I think letting Supernatural introduce the artist lineup to you in rhyme would be a better look. As always, Guerilla Union does not disappoint with their cast of artists… plenty of OKP favorites this year (more surprise guests will be announced). Follow me after the jump for the full flyer.

  3. avatar Wu Gambino

This is the type of tour that YOU DO NOT MISS. I dont care where you are from, travel to the nearest city that offers this show. Being from Kansas City myself, I have traveled to Chi-town for the last couple of years for this show. Well worth the price for EVERYTHING. Real hip hop is this tour

  4. avatar tx

man this line up looks whack… first and second years where tight! didnt go last year, but this line up is nothing compared to previous years.. eyedea? sage francos, mop? i mean come one… there are better mcs out there.. low budget crew, blu n exile, etc

  5. avatar duuuuuuuuude

whats up w. Nas and Damian Marley being listed together. Are they performing together?

  6. avatar h biz

wow… looks dope but definitely some questionable picks there. sage francis? House of Pain?Buckshot on the same level as mickey factz?

still probably gonna go but i felt like hating for a sec.

  7. avatar mr.incognito

  10. avatar Nathan L. Turner

OMG – how does Supernat do it? It has to be some otherworldly ish – well, I guess that would explain his name, huh?

  11. avatar hiphoplivesforever

    supernat always impresses me

  12. avatar nolo

honestly, it is still dope, but not as good as last year

  13. avatar Something 2 say

TO Deezy, it will be in the area, It says DC but you know that’s relative. It could be Northen VA, or Merriweather post pavillion. Either way it’s manageable, I was prepared to go to NYC, Boston anywhere on the eastern seaboard to see this show. I was there the entire time last year and it was WORTH IT!

  14. avatar Free Defy

Come to ATL!! I would go if GU did. D.C is the closelest place to where I’m at. Love the Lineup. Even though it’s more vets than rookies.

  15. avatar austin cat

Hey look dont complain dont cry dont wine.. just appreciate hip hop in all of its purist forms people.. its not just a boom boom bap anymore.. its a broader music so just chill and if it aint in your town then fly yo stanky ass to the closet venue. I flew to NYC for my participation in the 09 Lupus DIlla tribute.. Y? because I am Hip Hop and nothing stops me.. what supernatural just did should be the number one Hit on You tube or whatever website you look at for videos, not the bullshit that 50 and Ross or Bow WOw and Soilder boy do on a daily basis.. Put the Essence back in front not the Present bullshit.. Peace..

  19. avatar Sonny James

  20. avatar kenster

  22. avatar Moe B

Man, I’m so bummed out. They came to Dallas on a tuesday night first Rock the Bells and the crowd wasn’t even half full. It was one of the tightest concerts ever even though half the acts no-showed (i assume cuz they didnt pull enough tix to pay everybody). Dallas let me down so much that night. I was also let down at how many times the guys on stage talked ish about how many empty seats there were.
There’s not even a RtB within 3 states year. WTF?

  23. avatar sin-cere

    Torontoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  24. avatar MIAALIEN

  25. avatar Willy W.A.Y.

Alot of Rookies I don’t know about, but Nas Talib Common Slaguhterhouse and the Roots are worth every penny. I’d go to Hanna Montana if these cats were coming. See ya’ll in Chicago. and I don’t know who reads these, but TALIBBB KWELIII, if you read this, I’ve seen you 3 times in the last 2 years and you haven’t performed Memories????? 34. avatar Versatile Pro

I was waitin for Nat to slip up! I woulda fugged up at the 1 minute mark.

  35. avatar big phill

TX stated the lineup is “whack”…then went to list MOP as part of the whackness, I can’t see why anyone would say a show with nas, common, slum village, mop, alchemist, roots reflection eternal ect…could be whack

  36. avatar Letif
