I'm glad the Los Angeles/San Bernardino show went well. All acts were on time, except for Method Man. Everyone had a good 40 min set. I'd say there was about a 15-30 minute lag time. No problems at the Los Angeles/San Bernardino show except for MF Doom who again, had a impersonator go up on stage and lipsync. It seems Doom has no love for SoCal because he's done this the last couple times he's been out here. Oh well, if he wants to put up with this immature villainy act then I'm going to keep spreading the hate. Keep biting the hand that feeds you, and that hand will drop a gem on your metal face. The fans that love him for doing that, are immature.

Well after missing the '07 Rock the Bells, I finally experienced the experience... no pun intended. I witnessed the music and culture that I only know as Hip-Hop in the people, in the atmosphere and mos def(initely) in the artist that laced the stage for 10 hrs or so. Though I missed Prez, immortal tech, jay elec and all the other acts prior, I was able to hear De la, and Rae and Ghost from a far while in line at Bayfront Park here in Humid Ass Miami... The music was loud enough to hear from your exit of of 95 south to expressway 195 east. Once inside It was a crack era baby's dream. Black, white, brown, purple haze, orange hairs and plenty of J Dilla "changed my life" t-shirts, yeah which was my choice of attire that night. Maybe I annoyed the patrons who stood within 5, well maybe 10 feet of me with knowing almost every verse to Nas' represent or Mos Def's "Hip Hop", or maybe it was my soul which poured onto the pavement while DJ Scratch gave his signature "Friday the 13th" Imma play Jason mix with the White Hockey mask routine that he has ran for over 10 yrs which will never gets old... (uuhhhhh, breath... Whheeww!) Okay, as the show continued to Play on when Red and Meth brought NORE out who sort of looked like ate most of the catered food for the artist just before he performed "Nothing". Pardon me if I ramble, but truthfully when it comes to this this music and culture that Ive only known as Hip-Hop, the rambling will never stop family. So before the summer soon becomes cooler on Labor Day (well maybe just a lil' bit), buy you and your closest friends who'll do anything you say and that other friend who thinks they know and call that music that I love Hip-Hop a ticket to one of the greatest fads' that wasn't supposed to last 30yrs (and counting) so they too can experience the experience...

Well the Columbia, MD show was on point. Mos Def killed it there. He did Ms. Phat Booty, and some Black Star classics. He wasn't on point like he should have been, but it was still good. De La Soul was flawless! It was the best concert ever. Everyone was on point. I have no idea what happened in the other cities, but I'm shocked that some people are complaining about performances. Be grateful to witness the greatest Hiphop artists of all time on the same stage! I don't care if they were 60 years old and their performances sucked, I would still be happy and singing every lyric.

i was at the columbia, md show in the front for the whole time. it was an experience that i would never trade for all the money in the world. i have to give it to supernatural. he ripped his freestyles. red and meth killed it. obviously mos def's set was different but essential, he went back to the core of hip hop core the reggae. i did wish he had done undeniable form tru magic he the crowd would have gone wild. rakim's set was legendary, after that night i could not sleep and my back was killin me, i was starvin but i was up front the whole time listening to every world reciting every lyric that night.

I attended the Columbia, MD Rock the Bells..Best freakin' concert ever. And I have attended several. De La Soul killed it, Meth and Red gave 110%, Nas(OMG), ATCQ yes sir, loved it, Ghost and Rae, I will always rock with them no matter what. But this dude Supernatural, WTH, this dude was insane. He was awesome. The God himself, Rakim, did his thing. Kay Slay was his DJ. The Pharcyde was cool(Paid homage to Dilla). Mos Def, Dead Prez, Immortal Technique (dang he was tough), Murs opened the show. Man, I would be typing a review all day long. BEST CONCERT EVER!! Next years, line up should include, the whole Boot Camp, Common, Guru and Gangstarr, Busta Rhymes, Naughty by Nature, Souls of Mischief..Make it happen guerilla union.. Bmore

Just got back from the DC (Columbia Maryland Show) Best Show I've ever seen!!! One of the biggest highlights for me was Supernatural's freestyle about the Hearing Impared Fans and watching the interpreter sign his freestyle about them, and watching them going bizerk! That gave me chills..

He said, "I've never seen my freestyle's in closed caption" ... crazy!

Flew up to the Chi for this one from KC... was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Rakim, NAS, Pharcyde all get big props... I hadn't seen Mos live before, and it was a little disappointing. Anyone now if there is a video out there of Supernaturals free style session... that was crazy

Me and my boy Paully No Nuts thought the show was one of the greatest Hip Hop concerts ever , I agree Mos Def was totally a waste of talent and took quality time from other acts , Pharcyde was the real deal , and Meth & Redman gave a great performance as always , and Nas should have closed the show and showed everyone why he is a true heavy hitter . Big ups to Tribe , and especially to Murs for reaching out to his fan base after his performance doing autographs & pictures .

I agree with the first comment. Sets cut short and Mos was wack. WTF was he doing up there. He ain't do shit but a couple songs and then fuck around on stage for 20 mins. Waste of an act. Mos might be getting too comfortable and needs to step it up. I know this wasn't a show with Gil-Scot Heron, but step your game up, homie! I didn't pay all that money to see you go through the motions.

Immortal Technique makes Rage Against The Machine look like a couple of members of greenpeace. I now fully understand why Rakim is Called the God MC. No one is as hype as Red & Meth. Pharcyde's First show in 11 years? it was like they never stopped rockin shows. Mos Def was wack. Dude was just sitin up there dancin and singin, wastin everybody elses time. I just hope next year the festival organizers get their timing up to speed. It was a major dissapointment that Nas's set was obviously cut short, and that Tribe was unable to perform an encore, Check The Rhime would have been the icing on the cake for what was the best hip hop show i have ever witnessed.

I have to agree with ONEE, Q-Tip bored everyone with his set! I saw Tribe Last year at the Congress and they ripped it! I was disappointed that they didn't have Tribe on from the get. I know it's a promo thing but people wanted to see Tribe snap for the entire set! Nas ripped it! I was also disappointed with Mos Def. This is the second time I check him out and NO Mrs. Phat Booty. Overall it was a great show! Hip Hop is alive it never died!

That show was hot. I was there and it was far beter than last years show. Next year they need to add EPMD. The worst performance has to go to Murs. That dj he had was the worst thing i ever herd. Who does a rap show with one turntable?

I got to see everyone in the line up! I was one of the best concert ever for me! To see the whole line up was a pleasure and an honor! What sucked was they ran late from the get-go so...less time for who I really was looking forward to vibe to! I do want to give big props to Dead Prez, Tribe, Pharcyde vato! Mos Def, Meth(of course baby!)and Red! Rakim and Nas got played with time and should have been given more respect! However I think a lot of people are snoozing on my boy Immortal Technique that man is on some shit that is to far fetched for some and is still humble enough to to show love to his people and show some realness! I love HIP HOP Me Salvo La Vida!

I too was there; Mighty Mos (much love) but what was up with your set (no Mrs. Phat booty, Mathematics, ghetto rock, Dollar Day, Fake Bonanza, ECT ? Tribe why did Q-Tip take up 15 minutes of the set doing his whack ass songs (people were leaving)? Nas ..love is love (damn GOD SON NEED MORE TIME). DAMN it came in on De La soul set (love) missed RAKIM and dead Prez. Hands down to The Pharcyde four members and the live band…..
Over all love what the rock the bells show brings….

I was there!! My only criticism was that NaS should close out the show. He has the number one album....he's still making music! It's a no brainer to have him close it out. I love Tribe to death... matter fact... The show they did a few years ago at the HOB in Chicago was the best concert I ever been to (And I've been to a LOT!!) However, I still think NaS should close it out because of his album being out and...Sh*t it's NaS! Come On!!! The Show in itself was off the chain...you really can't complain when you have all those artist there under one roof!
